Intimacy with God
Through good Communication
Communication is a vital part of every relationship, especially our relationship with God!
Communication is the basis of every thing we do, everything we have, every thing we want. It is the foundation of all relationships.
When communication is good
· We have deepen and enrich relationships
· We grow closer more intimate
· We are aware of each other needs and desires
What happens when communications fail
· Relationships weaken
· Relationship can begin to become riddled with uneasiness
· We are less conscious of others needs and desires
Do you agree that good communication is the groundwork needed for a good relationship?
Then how would you rate your communication with God?
Are you communicating in your relationship with God?
How often do you talk to God?
How many times a day do you talk to your family members, husband, wife, mom, dad, children friends?
Do you spend as much time talking to God?
Do you even talk to God each day?
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you? -- unless indeed you are disqualified.
Do you manifest the great gift that God has given you? Your ability to have and intimate relationship with him!
Intimacy with God!
Does it require the same communication skills as your regular relationships?
Yes, When communication is good, you talk regularly and give and take in understanding of the others needs in relationship to your own. This giving and taking understanding and communication deepens and enriches your relationship. It creates intimacy. An intimate relationship creates a desire to fulfill the desires of each other.
What is the main emotion that creates and environment for an intimate relationship to survive? Where does communication come from?
Your head? Your heart? How much time and effort do your put in communication? When you know you have to talk to someone about something serious what do you do; or even more when you want something? Think about it! Do you think about how you feel about it? Using your head and heart? To think over how you will say it, do you consider the reaction of the other person. Do you even guess what the other person might say? God knows those very things and is waiting for you to share them with Him.
As a Christian, sealed in your heart is the spirit of the living God, who is panting for you to think about him prick your heart, and communicate personally with him. He desires your communication. NKJ Luke 6:38 "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."
NKJ Luke 11:9 " So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Do you have any one in your live where you have cultivated a good intimate line of communication? It is hard to do with another person! Usually those people are few over our entire lifetime. However God encourages a close personal line of communication through His son, Jesus Christ on a continuous close daily basis.
NKJ John 14:13 "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
What a promise that is, think about that! Ponder in your mind.
Try this one again 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you? -- unless indeed you are disqualified.14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
We have the promises of the creator of all that is….the great I AM, are you doing all you can do to keep your relationship alive through prayer. We are the creation and sanctuary of the great sacrifice of love God enabled us to be through his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Each promise in the bible is the hope and love of the great love of the Father and the Son that by the Holy Spirit we seek out each promise and bring it to its fullest. We are each intricate parts of a whole and we need to pursue out part in the fullness that is the body of Christ; for he created each individual to be a vital part of the body of Christ.
2 Corinthians 1 :20 tells us that all the promises of God are completed in Jesus Christ. “For no matter how many promises God had made, they are “yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.
How can we be assured of His promises? Through His word.
Hebrews 6:17 & 18 tells us “God wanted to prove that his promise was true to those who would get what he promised. And he wanted them to understand clearly that his proposes never change, so he made an oath. These two things cannot change: God cannot lie when he makes a promise, and he cannot lie when he makes an oath. These things encourage us who came to God for safety. They give us strength to hold on to the hope we have been given”.
Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you?
The bible has a promise toward every human condition
from Matthew 6
25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
From Ephesians 4
2 one body and one Spirit, as you were also called to the one hope of your call; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But grace was given to each of us according to the measure of Christ's gift.
From Luke
"Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
"If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?
"And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind.
NKJ Luke 12:30 "For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.
NKJ Luke 12:32 "Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
NKJ Luke 12:31 "But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.
And we know from Romans 8:28-38
NKJ Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
Nothing can separate us from the love of God

NKJ Isaiah 10:3 What will you do in the day of punishment, And in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?
NKJ Isaiah 10:4 Without Me they shall bow down among the prisoners, And they shall fall among the slain." For all this His anger is not turned away, But His hand is stretched out still.
